Pool Party, Pizza and a Trophy

To wrap up the first of what I am sure will be many more baseball seasons Carter’s T-ball coaches planned a wonderful pool party for the team, The Eagles.  They swam, ate pizza and received their MUCH anticipated trophies.  It was his first ever trophy, he has several medals from soccer but he seemed much more excited about this one.  I am sure as the years go by his room will be filled with them, after all I am sure he will be great at every sport he plays (I am not at all bias).

Rock Star!

Kids go through phases as they grow and their liking for things change and I am sure at the tender age of two it is slightly premature to declare Chase a rock star in the making, but this kid loves music, singing and dancing.  He sings in the car, he sings in the bath, he sings at the dinner table, he sings songs he has learned and songs he has made up.  He plays his guitar and dances as he performs, move over Justin Beiber, there's a new kid in town.  He is entertaining to say the least and I am his biggest groupie, but if your looking for a new act to follow you might want to check him out.

Lion and Tigers and (Polar) Bears, Oh My!

Nate and I took a day off work last week to enjoy a family day at the zoo, it tends to be much less crowded during the week.  The new polar bear exhibit was a huge hit.  Among the other big winners this trip were the monkeys, the sea lion show and the tigers.  It was a super hot day but a great time was had by all and much better than a day at the office if you ask me.  I only wish we could do it every week.

Playin' in the Park

This was the first year in a long time we have been in KC for the 4th of July.  We usually head back to GB so we can enjoy some dangerous fun times shooting fireworks.  Instead we had a little staycation, we played in the park, went to the pool, watched an amazing fireworks show, had movie night and went to the zoo (stay tuned for that post next).  We hit the park early before it got too hot and we had a great time.
