We took an early Spring Break with our great friends to take the kiddos skiing for the very first time. Well Chase didn’t ski this year but he sure had a great playing in the snow since we haven’t really seen much around here this year. I must admit I have successfully been avoiding this trip for oh about 12 years now, skiing is not one of my favorite activities and driving 12 plus hours into the bitter cold and snow, not really my idea of a vacation. However, Nate loves to ski and even though I didn’t want to admit it I knew Carter would too. And love it he did, after two days of ski school with his pal Georgia he blew past me on the slopes. I guess when you simply point your skis downhill and go you can pick some pretty good speed. He did great and with the one exception of jumping off the ski lift a few moments early no accidents either, which is a good trip in my book. The ski lift was my biggest fear, it is very high and very slow, which makes for a bad combination for curious little boys who don’t like to sit still, it made me very nervous.
